Filmmaker Dalton Narine's latest film, Mas Man (The Complete Work) is now available to stream worldwide exclusively on Brooklyn On Demand. The film was an Official Selection of the 2012 Art of Brooklyn Film Festival and has won awards at festivals in Trinidad & Tobago, New York City, Las Vegas, Ohio, Los Angeles, Switzerland, Indonesia and South Africa. It has been screened on six continents – USA, Canada, Argentina, England, Wales, Ireland, Holland, Poland, Greece, India, China, Thailand, Africa, Australia. Mas Man is a portrait of Trinidadian artist and designer Peter Minshall, who received Prince Claus and Emmy awards for a body of work that includes three decades of thought-provoking Caribbean Carnival presentations, as well as his artistic direction of Opening Ceremonies at Olympic Games in Barcelona, Atlanta and Salt Lake City. The feature-length documentary can be rented and viewed online and on Roku.

Brooklyn On Demand wins Creative Group of the Year at the First Annual Brooklyn Innovation Awards2/1/2016 Brooklyn On Demand, the only video streaming service created to showcase Brooklyn-centric indie film and media, took home the "Artist/Creative Group of the Year" trophy at the first annual Brooklyn Innovation Awards. The award was given "For the most unique and inspiring use of software or other digital or technical tools." BKOD streams both Free and Premium titlesonline and on their Roku channel, which was built by NYC-based video content pros Zype. "We're honored to be recognized by Brooklyn's tech community for pushing the boundaries of what a film festival can do by developing our own streaming channel Brooklyn On Demand,"said Joseph Shahadi, Executive Director of the Art of Brooklyn. Voting took place from Dec. 8-23 on Technical.ly Brooklyn and the winners were announced Thursday, Jan. 28 at the beautiful new WeWork space in Dumbo Heights.
